I have been moving around with my USB a bit lately. I have USB 2 and 3 at the back and 2 and 3 on the board. Don't really know what the issue is. The only thing I've had trouble is my Bluetooth but it's around 50 years old so it's to bee expected. The other thing is flash disks and SSD-cards and those problems started on both my computers at the same time. I was only using Windows then, maybe 6 months ago. To be fair I was not formatting in GPT before. Now my machines can hardly detect any of my drives. My newest (3.1) broke after the first format. I don't now if Linux flags them or does anything else weird in certain scenarios but it seems so to me.
